Always there for movie enjoyment. Movies are first run-always current. People are friendly. Young kids running the popcorn station-good experience for future jobs.

September 10, 2024Always a pleasure at this movie theater. The staff is very welcoming and the kids who work the snack counter are very well mannered and nice kids! Love the small theater and cozy vibe. My husband and I come every couple weeks for a date night and we love it! Keep up the good work you guys! 👍

March 2, 2024I absolutely loved the Wonka movie 🍿🎥 I went to see this movie with a couple of great guys. It was pretty cozy and the sound of the movie was incredible! It's nice to get out of the cold and step into Rex theater have a great time with friends in a super sweet environment for the holidays. Thanks for the great time and the yummy popcorn Rex theater 🎭

December 17, 2023You feel like you are walking into a different era here. The smell of butter oil and dust smacks you right in the face. Quite nostalgic and cozy. The carpet looks original! They had some of the best popcorn we had ever had. Those old machines must make it different.

September 2, 2023I was new to the area and my first trip to Orofino I saw the Rex Theater. After a closer look I realized they had new movies scheduled. Later on I finally found time to make it to a showing of Maverick. Too my surprise the ticket price was very reasonable! Then the two running the snack bar were very nice and quick to get my order and once again the prices were great! As I made my way to the theater area it was much larger then I anticipated. You could tell this was a small town theater because everyone was chatting and it felt like everyone (but me) knew everyone. I was able to find a seat. The sound was amazing and the screen size was complimentary to the size of the theater. Going to the movies requires popcorn knowing that it is the one thing that makes me sleepy. LOL. This is the first time in a very long time I enjoyed my popcorn and didn't take a nap! Needless to say I am looking forward to my next visit.

Older very well kept theatre. Seats close together. Aisles very spacious. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

February 23, 2021oK, not the Majestic or the Taj Mahal, but else does a little rural Idaho town need? The only improvement might Saturday Matinees. I grew up on Matinees.35 cents to get in, a dime for a popcorn and a nickel for a candy. Yes there's been inflation, but turn off your kids phones and games and get into a group imagination. Better yet, go with them. The price is right and hey it's OUR movie theater, Orofino. Let's make sure it's there for the next generation.

September 6, 2019This place will take you back in time to the good old days of theater. Recently updated to digital projector instead of the older reel projector. Surround sound is also new and pulls you into the film. The original theater decor makes the place feel fun and entertaining.

July 31, 2019It was an okay experience. They only accept cash even though their site says they accept credit cards. Very limited snack and drink choices. Will go again, but beware of cash only. Comfortable seating and great sound.

Rex Theatre has been my favorite for most of my life. Seats are comfortable, prices are reasonable, staff friendly, great surround sound in quiet smaller theatre showing digital first run movies. Highly recommend.
